Terry Rice completed the High Potentials Leadership Program at Harvard Business School (Executive Education) in 2014. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (1998) and his Master of Arts degree (Journalism 2000) from Western University and since August of 2000 he has worked full-time in the University’s Department of Communications and Public Affairs.
His diverse background has included an internship and contract work at CBC Sports (Hockey Night in Canada) as well as a variety of positions at Western, including: Reporter/ Photographer, Communications Specialist (Undergraduate Recruitment), Web and Special Publications Manager, Associate Director (Creative Services) and currently, Director (Marketing and Creative Services).
In 2016, he received the Western Award of Excellence – Western University’s highest honour for staff members.
Terry and his team’s work has been recognized with more than thirty awards from the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in the United States.
Terry’s past volunteer commitments have included the Board of Directors for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of London, the Canadian Women’s Rowing Team, and River Heights Public School. He is currently volunteering with the Dorchester Ringette Association Executive (Promotions).
